If you received a citation in California and choose to attend traffic school this booklet program is the perfect fit for you. Complete course at home and at your own convenience. You must have the court’s permission to attend. Most drivers are eligible to attend traffic school every 18 months.

- Identity questions (Important Tip!)
It’s a DMV requirement to confirm your identity in order to attend a traffic school class at home. We will ask you identity questions that only you would know i.e. your favorite color. We recommend you write these down. If you return your test and any your identity questions are wrong, the DMV will not allow us to accept your test and you will be required to start over and take a new test. You may request a copy of your identity questions if you forgot your answers. - Participation questions
While reading the booklet, you will answer 22 questions. You must correctly answer at least 70% of the Participation Questions (16 out of 22). If you do not score 70% or better, your materials will be returned to you so you may revise and correct any incorrect answers. - Test
DMV requires that participants take a test. It’s open book. You must correctly answer a minimum of 70% of the questions (18 out of 25) in order to pass. You have 2 opportunities to pass a final exam. You may re-register for the course if you do not pass. - Return your test to the driving school
Please return your completed materials and required course evaluation in enough time for grading and processing so we can submit your completion by the due date. You may send via regular mail, email, fax, text or in person. - Certificate is sent electronically to the court
Upon successful completion, your certificate will be sent electronically to the court. Receive a copy of your test results. A “completion receipt” will be provided to you for your records via email. If you do not have an email address, we will send it regular mail. - Re-processing fees
Register with the accurate information regarding full true name on your California Driver License or Identification Card, correct case or docket number, correct court, etc. Errors made on your part are subject to a re-processing fee.

- How long does it take?
The course is self-paced. It may take a few hours to complete. - After I pass the final test do I need to do anything else?
No, you do not have to do anything else. Your certificate will be sent electronically to the court. We recommend calling the court after 3-5 business days to ensure all is complete on their end. - What if I forget my personal identity questions?
Call the office. - What if I am not able to complete the course before my due date?
Contact the court to request an extension, via telephone or website. Most courts will allow 1 extension.
