Hayward Driving Lessons

Hayward is our home! We offer top quality driving instruction for teens and adults in-car, in our classroom and online.

We offer free pick up and drop off for Hayward residents for their in-car lessons.  We can pick you up at your home, school or work. Our instructors are experts in the traffic patterns and challenges specific to Hayward and Alameda County.

Typical driving lessons

Typical lessons in Hayward include practice in the Tennyson / Harder / Gading Rd. areas, A Street, Mission Hills Golf Course near Industrial Blvd, Southland Mall & Chabot College areas.

Hills

You may also get experience on the many hills in our area, including practice in the Hayward Hills, Fairmont, Garin Park and CSU-EB areas.  When students are ready for more complex traffic areas, we will train near Foothill, Mission, Jackson and downtown Hayward.

Freeways

When ready, drivers will practice on I-880, I-580, 237 and 92.

Hayward DMV Information

Address: 150 Jackson Street

Here’s some handy information specific to the Hayward DMV location:

• Beware of “No Turn on Red” sign and “Keep Clear” zones next to the DMV.
• While traveling on Jackson, drive close to the 40 MPH speed limit when it’s safe to do so.
• Near the car wash on Soto near Jackson – if the examiner does not instruct you to turn that means to go straight.  Keep to the right as the right lane is the only lane that goes straight at that intersection.
• Consider signing up for a 2-hour DMV review or use our vehicle for the Drive Test.

I had an excellent experience at the "Bay Area Driving School" (Traffic School). Before I even took the course (on-line), I had called them several times and they were so kind and helpful with all my questions. After taking the course, I truly feel like I am a more conscientious driver. I am 71 years old and the last time I studied the driving laws to this extent, I was 17 years old. It's been a "win-win" experience. No one ever wants to get a ticket but if you happen to unfortunately do so… please go to Bay Area Traffic School! I had the pleasure of being supported by the wonderful Erica with each step! Thanks to her unconditional care and support I completed everything in one day! Lastly, she was still there to congratulate me when I passed my test and let me know that everything would be completed on their end so I did not have to worry about anything else! Very cool instructor (John) and very helpful and clam when driving. Being picked up from my house and driving around Oakland made me more comfortable with being on the road and more comfortable around other cars. Angel helped me make my appointment for the driving lesson and it was easy , breezy, and beautiful, 100/10 service!!!!

I knew nothing about this driving school when I signed up to attend. The reason I chose it was because of their name, and wanted to keep the business within the bay area but upon completing the school, I realized just what a good choice it was, I found the study guide, straightforward and easy to comprehend, as well as the testing material. Erika is a wonderful instructor. Not only is she good at teaching but she also has a great personality that help people feel at ease so students can focus on learning.
